Street Light Evaluation Project - Kirchlengern, Germany Project Overview
Background:
Extensive lab testing to prove the quality of light output, this LED lighting distribution organization in Kirchlengern, Germany also performed a life test to confirm the product performance in the real environment. The test result will be critical for their brand identity in the European market. Two of our 100W LED street lights were tested as illustrated on the right. Each light was mounted 10 meters (33 ft) above ground. The illumination was measured in LUX at the ground and 2 meters above ground level.
The test was started on June 24, 2009. After about one and a half years, it showed no lumen depreciation which encouraged a long useful life expectation. The expected life for this type of street light is over 15 years.
Results:
The company was very pleased with the test result. The test result provides the additional confidence to carry our products to the competitive market.
